SLSC RopeLab is a collaborative men’s rope bondage community for experienced rope riggers to workshop and practice rope techniques. This is a space for gay and bisexual men, transmen, and other male presenting people to participate in ropework peer-learning skillshare.
There is no evaluation/requirement for proof of skill level. If you feel you have the necessary skills to participate, you are encouraged to attend. However, the focus of RopeLab Seattle will always highlight the needs of our community’s advanced riggers – RopeLab Seattle is not the place to learn your first knots, but once you have those down (having learned them at one of many great events such as Men Tying Men or a ropes class facilitated by SLSC) you are encouraged and welcome to join SLSC RopeLab.

Got a fist in your buddy and want to take them for a real fun ride? This in-person lecture-style class and 20-30 minute fisting demo briefly covers the basics of (anal) fisting and then goes into more detail about techniques, tips & tricks, pacing, coming down and ending a fisting scene. The class time has been extended to allow for a longer demo where the instructor and demo partner will dive “deeper.” The focus will be less on how to take a fist or put one in for the first time, and more on what to do once inside.

Embrace & Empower: Unleashing the Power of Gender-Affirming Intimacy & Sexy Intersections

Join us for a one night event where we’ll explore harnessing the power of uplifting others through physical, emotional, and mental intimacy, as well as learning how to be better “naked neighbors.” Join Sex Positive World & Lady Vivus for a two-class intensive focused on empowering ourselves & the world around us!
First Class: Gender-Affirming Intimacy
We’ll explore how positive, gender-affirming physical, emotional, & mental intimacy can make ourselves or others feel more aligned with their beautiful, authentic selves. This class was developed to support trans bodies, as well as their partners, and is accessible to everyone regardless of gender identity.
We will dive into some methods of intimate physical and sexual touch and affirming language to use for yourself or your partner(s) to create more gender-euphoric feelings. We will also discuss how achieving gender euphoria during intimacy can promote mental wellness for trans folks.
Finally, towards the end of this class, we will help you develop your own “Gender-Affirming Profile” or navigate helping a trans partner create their own Gender-Affirming Profile. This class is designed for both trans folks and cis allies. Gender non-conforming folks may also benefit from pieces of this to create their own unique Gender Affirming Profile.
Second Class: Sexy Intersections: Anti-Racism and Sex Positivity
This anti-racism class helps folks think about the many power dynamics that affect us when we interact in a community. It’s a good space for beginners who are eager to learn. We’ll think about our many identities and how they shape our expertise, and the areas where we need to learn and grow.
We’ll spend some time talking about the inevitable mistakes we make and the ways we hurt each other, and walk through the protocol we’ll use for those hard times when we’ve done things that don’t align with our values. We’ll center race while also addressing intersectionality in general. Everyone will be encouraged to work on perspective-taking from our privileges as well as our oppressions.

New event! Every first Thursday, join a chill evening of socializing and discussion among kinky, leather, and/or curious women+. All women (cis and trans) and enbys comfortable in women-centered spaces are welcome.
Every month we’ll spend some time chatting and catching up before a breakaway discussion group. This month we’re joined by 2009 WA Ms. Leather Angie (they/them) to talk about getting over your fears and introducing yourself to strangers. Perfect for our first-ever munch!
This event is 21+, and you will need your ID to enter the venue. No outside food our drinks are permitted, but the bar offers tasty food and drinks, including NA options for folks who don’t drink alcohol. Accessibility: There are 4 stairs into the venue.
For those new to kink/leather spaces, a munch is an opportunity to socialize and build community. NO PLAY happens at a munch, and you should dress in street-appropriate clothing. Consent is key in all things, including flirting and platonic touching (like hugs, or handshakes), so make sure you clearly ask for and clearly receive consent to engage.

Join us for Macabre, a play party intended to create space for players new and old who are drawn to the edges of sensuality and sadomasochism. This recurring event invites you to come prepared with your most creative and spine-tingling scene ideas.
The evening begins with a mandatory orientation, which you will have four chances to participate in. If you are unable to attend the orientation, you will not be admitted to the space.
Macabre is an inclusive environment that embraces all sexualities and identities and celebrates queerness in its many forms. We are committed to creating accountable spaces that are open to all races, ethnicities, ability statuses, and sexual orientations. Please note, only the first floor of
Gallery Erato is accessible without stairs, and there is a small ramp to navigate at the entrance to the building.
Macabre abides by the Pan Eros Foundation and Gallery Erato policies for play parties. This event benefits the Pan Eros Foundation.
Schedule:
Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
First orientation begins at 7:45 p.m., and orientations will happen every half hour through 9pm.
The downstairs playspace is open from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.
The upstairs playspace is open from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please bring your own water bottles, there is a refill station available.
